Directions

A) Dublin Airport
On leaving the Airport follow all the signs for City Center. This will take you on to the Drumcondra Roads and onto Dorset Street. Turn left off Dorset Street onto North Fredrick St and this will lead down onto Parnell Square East and onto OConnell Street. This is the City Center of Dublin.

Public Transport from the Airport:
There are several buses to the City Centre. There is the normal Bus which is the Number 16A. If you are taking this route please ask the driver to let you off at Kellys Corner/Harrington Street. On leaving the bus walk back down the street to the large Junction. Turn right and you will be on South Richmond Street. The hotel is located at the top of the street on the left hand side.
Other Buses are the 747 : terminates at Bus Aras (Central Bus Station)
Aircoach: from Dublin airport to Ballsbridge (disembark on Leeson Street for the Portobello)

B) From the City Centre.
There are several bus routes that service the Portobello Hotel.
From DOlier Street: 14 or 14A
From College Street ( Side of Trinity College): 15/15A/B/C or 83
From Dame Street: 65B

C) Driving From the City Centre.
From OConnell St. Cross OConnell Bridge onto DOlier St. Follow the main flow of traffic onto Dame St. Go along Dame St. until you reach the junction of South Great Georges St. (you will know this junction by the Philips Store on the Corner). Turn left onto Georges St and continue straight up onto Aungier St. Continue straight up Wexford street and Camden Street until you come to a pub called The Bleeding Horse. Follow the traffic round to the right. You will pass Starbucks on your left hand side.continue to follow the traffic you will come to a large junction. This is the junction with Charlemont Street. Turn left up Charlemont Street and continue to the top of the street. You will see a bridge on the canal. DO NOT CROSS this bridge. To your right you will see a pub called the Barge. Turn right at this pub and drive up the side of the canal and park anywhere on this street. The Portobello is up at the next bridge on the canal.
