On an average day, Bob and Jack's father walked out and never came home. On an average day, Bob did something so outrageous that people want him dead. On an average day, extraordinary things can happen.

When Jack shows up at his brother's home after fifteen years of separation, he discovers that Bob's got a shower full of newspaper clippings, there's something unsavoury living in his fridge, and he's on trial for doing something very, very bad. What Bob doesn't know is that Jack's a secret of his own…

"On an Average Day" debuted in London's Comedy Theatre in 2002, with Woody Harrelson and Kyle MacLachlan as Bobby and Jack. The first play by up-and-coming playwright John Kolvenbach, it's a hilarious but tragic look at the relationship between two brothers - and the way the traumas of the past have affected them both.

But this isn't your run-of-the mill tale of brothers dysfunctional adults talking over their messed up childhoods. The play's twist and eccentricities, the "clues" that are planted and then quickly debunked and ridiculed and the multitude of questions left unanwered after the seemingly "neat" ending has been reached all add up to something rather more twisted, haunting and hilarious than your average "tortured childhood" study could ever manage.

Don't miss out!
