Gulliver's travelling to Dublin for this year's "Dublin: One City, One Book" festival this month - so get reading and join in the fun!
DUBLIN: ONE CITY, ONE BOOK 2008 - GULLIVER'S TRAVELS!
Read any good books lately? For the month of April, Dublin City becomes one giant book club, as the third annual Dublin: One City, One Book Festival gets underway - encouraging everyone in the city to enjoy the same book at the same time.
This year's book is Jonathan Swift's hilariously satirical classic, Gulliver's Travels! With it's fantastical plot, wicked sense of humour and politcal allegories aplenty, Gulliver's Travels has something to offer even the most reluctant reader - and, of course, with some many adaptions for children, there's no reason why kids can't get in on the action too.
And as if that wasn't reason enough to get down to your local book shop and pick up a copy (or enter our brilliant Gulliver's Travels competition, below), the month's also jam packed with fantastic events for all ages - including exhibitions, film screening, workshops, talks and more. Gulliver himself will even be make an appearance in the form of two giant sand sculptures at the IFSC!
Check out the listings here, or log onto the Dublin: One City, One Book website for bookings and more information.
