A stylish and spacious bar in an old railway building...
The Odeon Bar is situated on Harcourt Street just off St Stephens Green. The Odeon is designed with an Art Deco theme in mind with a spacious main bar down stairs and another more intimate bar upstairs. The Odeon was built in what used to be the Harcourt Street station, so the size of the bar redefines the term superpub. The main bar is huge with a bar that nearly spans the length of the building and a high ceiling that give the bar a wide and airy atmosphere.
The Odeon has comfortable armchairs and sofas but most of the trendy clientele are happy to stand and show off their clobber. The Odeon takes in a lot of after-work fare as it is near a lot of new office blocks but also is a very fashionable night out in Dublin on a Saturday or a Sunday. The Odeon has become really popular for their loungey Sunday afternoons. The bar is full of people lazing around, reading the free papers, eating some tasty food or maybe even watching an old movie. The Odeon is the perfect haunt to enjoy and recover from a weekend's drinking.
