The Porterhouse
The Porterhouse, a bar with it's own brewery, sporting an exellent selection of beer.

The Porterhouse is located on Parliament Street just off Dame Street in Temple Bar. The Porterhouse seeks to resurrect the rich brewing heritage of Ireland which today is nearly all but gone. To this end, the Porterhouse also operates as a brewery, with a malt store on the top floor and tall cylinders in the basement to ferment and mature their finished product. The bar sports a broad variety of beers, stouts and largers from all over the world as well as the extensive range of beers and stouts they brew themselves. Some of the Porterhouse's specials are Plain Porter, a modern light stout, Wrasslers 4X Stout made to a recipe originally brewed in West Cork in the 1900s and Oyster Stout brewed with fresh oysters.

The Porterhouse Cook House is located on the second and third floors and features an eclectic combination of international cuisine. The restaurant sports a full menu of tasty food with a Caribbean, South American and African flavour. The Porter House features live music seven nights a week. There is a live trad session on Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoon. Saturday night has the bar hopping with the upbeat rock & roll group, Rock Tribunal. Monday and Tuesday night have a bluesy feel while on Thursday and Friday night you can hear all the classics in a one man acoustic show. With the largest selection of bottled beers in Ireland, your only problem in The Porterhouse will be your bank balance after you have made your way through their extensive stocks.
