A relaxed atmosphere in a stylish, modern bar at The Irish Film
Institute.
The Irish Film Institute is located on Eustace Street, just off Dame Street in Dublin's trendy Temple Bar area. Just a short walk down this cobbled street leads to the entrance of one of Temple Bar's finest architectural landmarks, The Irish Film Institute. The Irish Film Institute preserves, presents and promotes film culture in Ireland with two cinemas, a bookshop and a bar/café. The bar in the Irish Film Institute is as carefully designed as the rest of the building with long wooden chairs and seats, a stylish and accessible bar and a stairs that leads to a balcony where you can see the main area of the Institute below.
The atmosphere in the bar is very relaxed with cinema buffs getting a quick pint or coffee before a movie, groups meeting for a nights drinking or couples tasting the tempting and very reasonably type fare the restaurant has to offer after 5pm. The drinks are very reasonably priced for the Temple Bar area and the staff are very friendly and helpful, keeping with the lazy, informal feel of the bar. A great place to have an afternoon drink or to start a night's drinking, this bar is a little to relaxed if you were out for a hectic night of fun and frolics.
