The Village

The Village is a bar and entertainment venue on Wexford Street.
This venue has been transformed as a space for live performance in comparison to the building's previous incarnation as Mono and before that, as the Mean Fiddler.
It is now one of the best live music venues in the city with great space, acoustics and sight-lines. There is over 1200 MSQ of space on three floors. The Bar Staff are friendly and very attractive, so hats off to the boss who hired these lovelies. (Both the girls and the boys, just in case you were going to ring the PC police.)
The interior is modern, but warm, with comfortable seating and lighting that's nicely forgiving for those of us who ain't supermodels. There's also an entrance at the back on Liberty Lane parallel with Wexford Street.
So far, there's been a interesting programme of artists ranging from the very famous to cult acts. The Village is a newer, shinier sister venue of the grand old dame of the Dublin live scene, Whelans, down the street.
