4 Dame Lane is situated on a quite lane of Dame Street just down around the corner from The Stag's Head. But 4 Dame Lane is the complete opposite from the traditional feel of The Stag's Head with an understated entrance flanked by flaming torches and hefty but friendly bouncers. 4 Dame Lane's entrance leads you into a large room, decorated in a minimal style with red brick wall, lined with comfortable seating, a DJ box and a long bar. The upstairs bar has a New York loft feel and has proven to be so popular that it is nearly always packed to the rafters.
4 Dame Lane is a late night bar opening seven nights a week, serving till 2.30am from Monday till Saturday and till 1am on Sunday nights. 4 Dame Lane is very popular with the young, trendy clubbers as a pre-club bar with DJs spinning discs downstairs from 8 till 11. The music policy tends to be very good, with a mixture of funk, soul, disco and house music that has the publicans dancing on the floor till late in the night. 4 Dame Lane features some of the best Dublin DJs with the likes of Johnny Moy and Anthony Mooney playing there regularly.
