Following it's phenomenal success in 2007, Bulmers are sending in the clowns again this September for the 2008 Bulmer's International Comedy Festival!

Already one of the top five comedy festivals in the world, this year's Festival promises to push the madness into to the limit, with performances from some of the biggest stars national and international - including the Irish debut of the world's most popular stand-up, Chris Rock! There's also high-quality hilarity from the likes of Jimmy Carr, Stephen Lynch, BBC TV's The Mighty Boosh, Rich Hall as Otis Lee Crenshaw and Police Academy's Michael Winslow (Remember? The one who did all the noises? He was great)!

There'll also be the brilliant Bulmers Fringe Festival at the Sugar Club, featuring the talents of Brendon Burns, Dead Cat Bounce and Jimeoin On Ice - and of course the fantastic Orchard Path Comedy Trail, taking in the cremé de la cremé of Dublin's comedy clubs and newest up-and-comers!

And don't miss Bulmer's brilliant a search for new talent - The Nothing Butt Funny Comedy Competition - which will be warming up the crowds from 3rd August in Doyles, with the grand finale on 3rd September in the Laughter Lounge!

This master of vocal gymnastics can imitate over 1000 sounds, including frenzy of Jimmi Hendrix's guitar and the roar of a jet plane. It was this talent that got him noticed by the creators of the hilarious Police Academy movies, who immediately wrote him into their script! When he's not using it to wow crowds, Michael lends his voice to hit TV shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken!

He's appeared in dozens of movies (including Dogma, Nurse Betty and Bad Company) host the 77th Academy Awards, and is the creator of the hugely popular sitcom Everybody Hates Chris

RICKY TOMLINSON

To millions, Ricky Tomlinson is the Sultan of Sloth - in the guise of TV's Jim Royle, . But behind the extraordinary success of the star of The Royle Family, lies a story of poverty, prison and banjo-playing! This natural performer, teller of corny joke and banjo virtuoso is also an unrepentantly working-class Socialist warrior. His break in comedy came after he found himself blacklisted on building sites for his political beliefs!
NOB NATION

The debut Irish live show of RTE 2FM's 'Nob Nation' (The Gerry Ryan Show).
Featuring BIFFO, Inda Kenny, Plastic Sheeting and dozens more, this topical comedy satire is written, produced and performed by the Monaghan Mimic Oliver Callan with a little help from his imaginary friends.

RICH HALL IS OTIS LEE CRENSHAW

Rich Hall, the grouchy, deadpan, comic genius quit his job as a hurricane namer for the United States Meteorological Service eighteen years ago and hasn't looked back. In 1998, he introduced audiences to his redneck jailbird alter-ego Otis Lee Crenshaw, who's been married seven times, all to women named Brenda. Singer-songwriter Otis writes Tom Waitsian tunes and blends this with audience banter, producing a perfect fusion of music and comedy.

JIMMY CARR

Probably one of the most original and distinctive stars on television, radio and stage, Jimmy Carr combines public-school boy correctness with a battalion of cutting one-liners and absolutely no idea what the term "politically correct" may mean. His first two DVDs sold well in excess of 300,000 copies, and he was the first major comedian to perform in the online world Second Life, hitting the Guinness Book of World Records as the first comedian in cyberspace!

PADDY McGUINNESS

English stand-up and comedy actor is probably most famous for his role in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, even though he was still working at Horwich when he filmed the first season. He's since appeared in the spin-off series  Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, on Sky One'sThe Match and Inside Wayne Rooney, release a DVD called Paddy McGuiness: All-Star Balls Ups! and performed 108 shows on his solo stand-up show, Paddy no longer works at Horwich.

Australian comic Brendon Burns has been performing comedy since the early Nineties and is known for his aggressive stage presence and controversial material. He briefly hosted the 11 O'Clock Show and even more briefly the ITV2 spin-off show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here Now! However it is live - and especially in his solo shows - where he has forged a reputation, with six live CDs to his name. He has also performed at Montreal and South African comedy festivals

DEAD CAT BOUNCE

Dead Cat Bounce…Radio Play revisits the golden age of 1950's radio comedy, albeit with a very modern twist. Prepare for an unrelenting hour of sketches and music performed by three guys and a stage full of things that make noise. Discover the secrets of sound, the magic of radio, and the lost art of suggesting an advancing army using only a bucket, some spanners, and a pair of rubber gloves. It's what you'd be listening to if TV had never been invented…

Acclaimed for his brilliant wit and charming observations on the absurdities of everyday life, Jimeoin's regular appearances at festivals around Australia always attract sell-out advance bookings. In 1999, Jimeoin wrote and starred in his own feature film titled The Craic. In its opening weekend, The Craic became the second highest grossing box office movie in Australian-produced film history.
