Imagine spending your whole life worrying you'll never find the right person, only to finally meet her - on you honeymoon! That's the dilemma facing Eddie (Ben Stiller), in this Farelly Brothers update of the 1972 classic of the same name (written by Neil Simon and starring Charles Grodin).

Forty year old Eddie is the only single person his age he knows. So when he "strikes gold" with the beautiful and seemingly perfect Lila (Malin Akerman), he caves to peer pressure and proposes after just a few weeks.

But when the newlyweds head off to Mexico to celebrate their happily-ever-after, Eddie not only discovers Lila's true (and fairly awful) nature, he also discovers the lovely Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), whom he begins to suspect might just be "the one". Fans of the original will know what to expect for the rest of the movie, but there are still a few slick twists and clever updates (and, being a Farrelly Brothers movie, some delightfully disgusting gross-out moments too)!

If you've been a little disappointed by the last couple of Farrelly Brothers movies this is one film you really have to catch! A true return to form, The Heartbreak Kid has been hailed as their best work since There's Something About Mary - with all the heart-warming moments and stomach churning ickiness that implies!
