Seven stimulating seasons of film on offer at the Dublin International Film Festival.
The 4th Dublin International Film Festival will delight all cinema-goers with the broad and varied programme of films. This year's seasons of film cover a broad spectrum with a season of Canadian Cinema returning due to it's great success last year.
Six of the seven films to be screened in this Canadian season have been chosen by Cam Haynes. He was helped to choose six high-calibre movies by his team in the Film Circuit department of the Toronto International Film Festival Group.
A provocative season of World Cinema will cover movies from Ireland, South Africa, France, Hungary, Argentina and lots more. The States of Independence Season is a season of American Independent Films so that filmgoers can enjoy a feast of some of the best Independent American movies. This season includes over fifteen films with some real eye catchers such as The Matador, Capote and The King.
All sports fans will be delighted to know that the Dublin Interanational Film Festival are screening a season of football aptly named Ole Ole Ole. Reel to Reel is this year's season of documentaries at the Dublin Film Festival. Keeping with the football theme, fans can see George Best:As Football Never Before. This season offers a diverse selection including the highly rated Enron, the Smartest Guy in the Room.
The Dublin International Film Festival always makes it a priority to showcase Irish productions. There's an Irish Season of Cinema that includes eight excellent Irish movies including a debut feature film from Anthony Byrne (Short Order). There's also a special Irish Season of Shorts sponsored by the Irish Film Board of Irish Shorts.
The 4th Dublin International Film Festival is the ultimate in movies, screening over 100 films with 50 guests, workshops, world premieres and a top level industry conference.
