Screening Short Films during the Dublin Film Festival.
The 4th Dublin International Film Festival will begin it's fantastic programme on 17th February. The selection of screenings provides Dublin cinemagoers with a wealth of variety to choose from.
The Dublin Film festival will open with the world premiere of Paul Mercier's Studs. Some of the top films to win awards at the Golden Globes and nominations at the Bafta's will be showcased at the film festival.
A season of World Cinema offers film fanatics an excellent opportunity to enjoy an eclectic selection of international movies. The Irish Film Board have sponsored an Irish Talent on Film screening that takes place on Tuesday 21st February, in the I.F.I. at 6.20pm. This is part of a programme of Irish short films that will be showcased.
Never Judge a Book will be screened. This eight-minute short has already been ear marked by Buena Vista for theatrical distribution. The cast stars Brendan Dempsey, Waking Ned, About Adam. The supporting cast is also strong featuring Liam Tuohy, Titanic, Seabiscuit, Niall Walsh, King Arthur, Shane McCabe amongst others.
Never Judge a Book was created by three talented Irish filmmakers. Director Jason Forde, screenwriter, Shane McCabe and award-winning producer, Sasha King, "Conrad Gallagher Documentary", combined their efforts to create this interesting short movie.
Never Judge a Book explores the prejudices we have as a society. It's unique structure of reverse chronological flashback, a la Christopher Nolan's Memento, will be an excellent challenge to Dublin cinema goers.
