Internationally renowned for their fresh and accessible versions of Beckett's prose works, Gare St Lazare present acclaimed actor, Conor Lovett with this novella in which the narrator, expelled from the family home upon the death of his father, takes refuge on a bench by a canal. There he meets a woman who takes him home and the events that follow are hilariously terrible. A masterpiece of Beckettian perversity!

Richard Shannon's THE LADY OF BURMA

The inspirational true story of Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi is told in this compelling solo performance about the life of the only Nobel Peace Prize winner who is also a political prisoner. Despite being the democratically elected leader of the country, Burma's military junta have kept Suu Kyi under house arrest for over a decade. This powerful performance has already been made sell-out appearances at the Edinburgh festival and the Old Vic in London. Regardless of what you know or think about Burmese politics, this show is an unmissable hymn to the power of the human spirit in the quest for freedom.

After it's stunning success in London and at The Dublin Theatre Festival Fishamble returns with its highly-acclaimed production of The Pride of Parnell Street by Sebastian Barry for a limited run prior to its transfer to Europe and the USA in June. The Pride of Parnell Street is a moving account of a marriage and a time that have both past. Through interconnecting monologues an estranged couple, Janet and Joe, chart the intimacies of their love and the rupturing of their relationship, as well as their enduring love affair with Dublin city itself.
