Celebrity Concert Series 2004/2005
A wonderful line-up of famous classical musicians are playing at the National Concert Hall from October 2004 to June 2005.

The National Concert Hall in association with The Irish Times has lined up a host of leading lights from the international classical scene to perform in the Celebrity Concert Series 2004/2005. Running from October to June, the series will bring many of the world's greatest soloist and chamber musicians to Dublin for what promises to be a mouth-watering programme of concerts.

 

Celebrity Concert Series 2004/2005 kicks off on the 20th of October with a concert by Grammy award winning violinist, Hilary Hahn. Hahn makes a welcome return to the National Concert Hall following her hugely successful appearance with the San Fransicso Orchestra in 2003. On the 14th of November, renowned violinist, Maxim Vengerov also makes a return for a recital with pianist Evgenia Startseva. Firmly established as one of the most important musicians of his generation, pianist Radu Lupu will perform on the 9th of December.

 

The New Year sees Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes on the 12th of January followed by violinist Pinchas Zukerman performing an all Beethoven programme with recital partner, pianist Marc Neikrug on the 13th of March. On the 6th of April sees acclaimed pianist, Philippe Cassard performs with special guests Austrian baritone, Wolfgang Holzmair and the Parisii String Quartet.

 

Britain's leading violinist Tasmin Little performs with pianist Wayne Marshall on the 18th of May and Barry Douglas round off the season with a piano recital on the 3rd of June.
