Tomatito
Luminary of the flamenco guitar, Tomatito presents “Aguadulce” at the National Concert Hall on Thursday, the 16th of September.

Tomatito comes from a long line of flamenco guitarists with his father, grandfather and uncle all legendary players. Following the tradition of flamenco master Paco de Lucia, Tomatito evolved his own distinctive style and became one of the most famous masters of flamenco guitar.

Playing in the Taverna Gitana in Malaga, Tomatito was discovered Camaron de la Isla and they formed a collaboration that lasted 18 years. Tomatito was only 20 years of age when he accompanied Camaron on “La leyenda del tiempo” and he remained loyal to the maestro until his death in 1992. Tomatito went on to perform alongside Elton John, George Benson and Frank Sinatra, has mixed flamenco with the accompaniment of pianos of Chano Dominguez and Michel Camino.

Tomatito's busy concert schedule has seen him play Rome, Amsterdam, Havana City, Mexico, Tokyo, Yokohama and New York. Now he brings her brilliant flare for flamenco guitar for a concert in the National Concert Hall that will have his audience enthralled and spellbound.
