Virgin Records are a British company who set up business on Aston Quay in the late '80s. The Aston Quay Megastore in gone now but Virgin have opened a new store on Henry Street.
Virgin has an extensive selection of cds, dvds, videos, books and magazines. Virgin stock music titles from rock, pop, metal, dance, soul, r&b, rap, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, folk, blues, world music, country to classical. The shop has an extensive range of titles but focuses mainly on chart music and has all the most popular releases well displayed on the shop floor.
On the main floor there is a classical section, and the main rock and chart section. They also have a magazine and books section and an area dealing with jazz, blues, trad and world music. Downstairs Virgin stock an extensive dvd and video section that deals with all the new releases world cinema, music and television. Virgin also stock all the new games with titles from Playstation, PC, Gameboy, Xbox and Gamecube.
