HMV has long had a good grip on Dublin's music buying
public.
The Grafton Street branch is the flagship and has a terrific selection of music titles on the ground floor. Downstairs, it's the dance music section and computer/video-games. Upstairs is the world of film, with every film you could think of on DVD and video.
HMV is one of the best stocked record shops in Dublin. The main floor caters for many of the new chart releases and also has a large rock section taking in the last four decades of music. Upstairs has an excellent blues, jazz, trad, folk and country section including a wide range of videos or DVDs.
Upstairs also has a seperate classical department which stocks all the best in the latest classical and opera releases. Downstairs has a very good dance, rap and hip-hop section and also sports a singles section and a wide selection of computer and video games.
As well as the city centre shops on Grafton and Henry Street, HMV have branches at the Blanchardstown Centre, in the Swords Pavilion and at the Square in Tallaght.
