Cornucopia is Dublin's best known vegetarian restaurant. It's cheap, affordable food in a very informal, bohemian atmosphere.
The grub is obtained at a rather cramped buffet counter, but the staff are uniformly helpful and friendly, unless you accidentally stomp on one of their sandal-exposed toes. (It attracts a lot of tattooed and pierced staff and clientele.) The food is fresh and very healthy, although one could get tired of chick peas and cold potatoes pretty quickly. The soups are great, as is the selection of breads. Located smack in the middle of prime, shopping district, this attracts all sorts - baggy-jumpered dreadlocked veggies from Galway, TCD students, the gay crowd, trendy young things and auld wans. It seats about 40 and can get very busy at mealtimes, as most of their fare is a lot tastier than veggie stuff really should be!
