Talavera is an elegant and open-planned restaurant branching into four rooms. In the main dining area, Talavera boasts the largest Anti-Pasti buffet available in the country. Diners can enjoy the Anti-Pasti Buffet as a Starters €10 or a Main €17.50.
The menu is an exciting and innovative A La Carte creation with a delicious range of starters in addition to the Anti-Pasti Buffet. A small selection of soups and salads and a generous choice of Pasta and Risotto dishes are on offer.
As with the Antipasti Buffet, the Pasta and Risotto dishes can be ordered as a Starter or Mains. Authentic Italian starters include Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, which is mouthwatering potato dumplings in a delicious tomato and basil sauce with mozzarella.
Pennette Al Salmone is another excellent appetiser consisting of baby penne pasta with chunky strips of smoked salmon. Risottos to try include Black Risotto with Squid Ink and Peas or Risotto with Asparagus.
Alongside Pasta and Risotto Main courses, Talavera provides some wonderful Meat and Fish Choices. The red meat can be cooked on five different preferences from rare to well done. Baked Rabbit Saddle with White Wine, Olives, Rosemary and Lentils is just one of the meat options.
The fish dishes are magnificent with mind-blowing Turbot dish and equally delicious swordfish meal on the menu. All main dishes are served with appetising sides of Roasted veg including asparagus, carrots, potatoes, courgettes and runner beans.
The Desserts are to tempting to resist and the Tiramisu is wickedly delectable! Talavera compliments it's great Italian menu with a carefully chosen wine list that includes over 100 wines. Meticulously picked Italian wines are in the main but there is a good section of world wines also on offer.
The service is fantastic, both the manager, Primiano and the staff are really welcoming and ensure you have an entertaining dining experience. Topped with excellent food and wonderful surroundings, Talavera is a Dublin restaurant that will seduce and satisfy any food enthusiasts.
