Dining at the Bistro on Castlemarket Street is a real pleasure. The restaurant is a family-run business, ideally located minutes away from some of Dublin's main shopping attractions. Georges Arcade is situated beside the Bistro and Grafton Street, Powerscourt and Stephens Green Shopping Centres are just minutes away.

This is one of Dublin's best lit restaurants, with candles and downlighting on each table. The upstairs dining-room is incredibly cosy and charming and light from the large Gothic windows overlooking the busy street illuminates the room even more. The interior combines homely red brick walls with pastel shades and colourful paintings creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

The Bistro serves contemporary Irish and Meditteranean food, offering Brunch, Lunch and Dinner seven days a week. The menu is full of classic Bistro dishes and daily specials are always a fusion of continental cuisine that will titilate any diners taste buds. Brunch  includes a selection of Egg dishes, starters, salads and mains. The Lunch menu offers classics such as Fish & Chips and Pizza with a contemporary twist and the finest of local ingredients. The Dinner menu provides a range of delights including Veal, Bocconcini and Proscuitto Parcel €21.50 and a Fillet of Red Snapper €19.50.

A tantalising Christmas Lunch and Dinner Menu are currently on offer and pre-booking is essential.. Christmas Lunch can be enjoyed at €35.00 per person and includes three courses with unusual starters such as Squid Ink and Tiger Prawn Risotto Calamari as well as more traditional mains including Grilled 10oz Striploin Steak. Christmas Dinner costs €55.00 per person and offers dishes such as Lobster and Crayfish Chowder for starters and Lamb Wellington for mains. Desserts include tempting Strawberry Melba and Espresso and Mascarpone Cheesecake.
