Yellow Brick Road
Yellow Brick Road is a fabulous Dublin shop offering courses on how to make jewellery.

The Bead Shop is a fascinating Craft store located on Bachelor's Walk facing Dublin's River Liffey. This charming shop provides a wide selection of stones and beads sold loosely so as the customer can design their own craft jewellery. There is also the option of purchasing pre-made necklaces or Feng Shui pieces, numerous different types of crystals, Tarot cards and even Spells and Potions.

Yellow Brick Road also runs many courses in jewellery making. One course consists of a weekend away in Mayo called the Celtic Beadadventure Retreat. The project has a Celtic theme incorporating the twisted flat herringbone stitch and the twisted rope stitch. Students partaking will stay in a beautiful cottage (with only 11 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 3 kitchens) nestled into the side of a hill with a spectacular view.
.
There is also an eight-week jewellery-making course on offer. This course focuses on students with no previous experience and those wishing to improve their jewellery making skills. Twenty-two projects will be taught and some of the techniques that will be learnt include wire work, loom work and pearl stringing techniques. The course will be held in Dublin one evening a week at the Yellow Brick Road.

There are even one night workshops for those who would like a small insight into how jewellery is made. Yellow Brick Road also offers complementary weekend workshops running at the end of March, April and May. These workshops are designed to appeal to all skill levels. The venue is the Arlington Hotel on Bachelors Walk and the course runs from 10.00am to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday. The stitches covered will provide a thorough basis in heirloom beading techniques.
