Tacita Dean

Tacita Dean is best known for her compelling 16mm films, in which the specific qualities associated with film-making are of central importance. The still nature of her films invokes associations with the qualities of painting.
Free guided tours of the gallery's permanent collection, including the Francis Bacon Studio (which normally carries an entry fee), take place every Tuesday morning at 11.00.
A programme of themed tours is run every Sunday at 13.30.
Every second Wednesday at 1.10pm, visitors can attend lectures or guided tours on the history of art or on themes suggested by current exhibitions. Occasionally a talk is given by an exhibiting artist.
