Glasgow-based Dubliner Peter Collins has one of those playfully intelligent minds that would ensure his success no matter what field he ventured into. Luckily for us, he's chosen art!
Inspired by music of all kinds (festival, clubbing, live gigs and DJ-ing), Collins brings his own unique world-view to play on subjects as diverse as astronomy, anatomy and politics. He tends to work on several pieces at once - adding to the freshness and excitement of his work, with over-lapping ideas creating an exciting sense of unity between very different works.
His varied technique and style combines light, dark, tragedy and humour - sometimes in the same piece - to create surreal and abstract works that still connect with, and reflect, everyday life.
