Lab geeks take note. The Science Gallery on Pearse Street is here to overhaul the way we see about Science forever!

THE SCIENCE GALLERY, PEARSE STREET

If the word "science" conjures up images of lab coats and test tubes, maybe you could do with a trip to the Science Gallery on Pearse Street. Located in the Naughton Instite, on the ground of Trinity College Dublin, this brand new cultural centre aims to give world of science, technology and innovation world a total make-over - and some serious street cred - with a dazzling programmes of exhibitions, public experiments, challenges, festivals, debates and workshops designed to capture the imagination of the Irish public.

The Gallery, which consists of a 144-seater multimedia PACCAR theatre, studios, café and stunning open gallery space, is the first venue of its kind in the world. It's designed as a place where "ideas meet", bringing young adults into contact with thought leaders from research and industry, in a fun and informal way,  to fire up these young people to develop a passion for science in the future..

The overall calendar of events for the Science Gallery will highlight the possibilities for creativity, imagination and global change provided by science and technology in the 21st century. The gallery opens with the Lightwave festival which runs from 2nd - 9th February, and promises to be the first in a long line of innovative and exciting events at the new Gallery.
