The Jervis Shopping Centre on Mary St. is a good place for a pretty
comprehensive shopping experience.
It's a bright, airy space with its main entrance on Dublin's second (to Grafton St.) main shopping area - Henry Street. As the main walkway enters the ground-floor plaza, you'll see a strange picture of a golden-tanned, muscle-bound 'eighty-year-old Doctor' who seems to have discovered the Fountain of Youth at the Tony Quinn Health Store stall and it's completely up to you if you want to investigate this modern miracle any further.
In some ways it's like a British high street indoors with Debenhams, Next, Top Shop, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Dixons, Mothercare, Tesco and Argos. Debenhams is a multi-level, mini-department store here within the Jervis complex and is always among the first ports of call for Christmas shopping. The good-sized, two-storey Boots takes care of all your prescription, cosmetic and photographic needs, while the large basement-level Tesco is your one-stop shop for groceries. Electrical Goods are well-covered in Dixons, M&S do your high quality, readymade meals, while bargains can be pickjed up at catalogue store, Argos and cool babygear resides in Mothercare.
So at least you know the above cover your high street fashion, cosmetics, babywear, grocery, electronics, junk food and miscellaneous needs. There are two sporting goods stores, Lifestyle and Champion, while if your little tyke is obsessive about Martin O'Neill's boys, then Celtic Collection should keep him happy. For gifts, there's The Art & Hobby Store, Golden Discs music shop, the self explanatory Gadget shop.com, Waterstones bookshop, Thorntons Chocolates, and Spoils Homes that has all kinds of 'damaged' knick-knacks for the house. Oh and Bear Factory has the cuddliest Teddy production line you'll see. Ìf you want to get a loved one something special, then drop into Fields jewellers. If you're dead on your feet, downstairs by the escalators, there's a Bewleys and upstairs, there's a Food Court and a Burger King. For cool urban casual footwear, there's Schuh upstairs.
