The newly renovated Smithfield is the largest purpose-built open civic space in Europe. The renovation of the Square has encouraged the exciting development of Smithfield Village. With it's distinctive architecture, the mix of facilities and cultural activities include a unique hotel, a contemporary traditional music cafe bar, a Viewing tower and innovative restaurants and sophisticated gift shop.

Chief O'Neill Hotel was designed to reflect Ireland's finest contemporary design making it ideal for both business and leisure. The hotel's amenities are excellent and include 24-hour room service, a babysitting service, dry cleaning, gift shop, bar, restaurants, and a penthouse suite that has it's own Jacuzzi and a roof top garden.

Attached to the hotel, Chief O'Neill's café & bar is designed as a pure, contemporary Irish traditional music café & bar. Some of Ireland's most talented traditional musicians play live sessions and a carefully chosen menu of traditional and contemporary Irish cuisine, all served up by friendly staff, makes it a bar not to miss.

Duck Lane is a Gifts and Home ware Store selling kitchenware, executive toys, crafts and jewellery. Duck Lane is steeped in history. It is built on site of the Irish Whiskey Distiller and for centuries was a place bustling with business where traders and merchants sold their wares. It is part of the walkway that dates as far back as medieval times. The lane bisects Smithfield Village from the Square, the largest cobbled square in Dublin.

Kelly & Ping is an excellently designed Dublin restaurant with a twist…It serves authentic Thai cuisine. Lunch and Evening Menus are available and the restaurant also caters for parties. There is a reasonable selection on each menu and the meals are reasonably priced. Happy Hour in the bar begins at 5pm.

A visitor centre is located next to Kelly & Ping. The centre introduces visitors to the taste and history of John Jameson's Irish Whiskey. Tours at the Old Jameson Distillery are hosted by professional guides. The Old Jameson Distillery is open 363 days a year. The first tour commences at 9:30am and tours run until 5:30pm

The Jameson Chimney Viewing Tower provides a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. The existing 185 ft old Chimney has been topped with a two-tiered glass enclosed viewing platform. The Chimney Viewing Tower is open daily from 10am - 5.30pm. Times may change throughout the year.
