Wraptures is a fine-paper shop located at the south end of Francis
Street. It stocks all kinds of specialist paper products and accessories.
From Japanese Rakusui Veil to Indian cannabis paper, from antique papyrus to bark, from glitter and embroidered gift wrap to Toile de Jouy sheets, and from hand-marbled to multi-coloured chrome papers, it's a pretty good selection, made all the more special by the fact that there's really nowhere else in the country providing a service like this. Proprietress Lee Dillon noticed that there were great paper shops in the US, but none here, so she decided to do something about it.
Wraptures stock accessories like pens, quills, pencils, inks, paper weights, rubber stamps, embossing powders, ink pads, handmade waxes, seals and ribbons. There are journals, diaries and albums from India, Nepalese gift wrapping and greeting cards from Italy. If you're as sick of the sloppiness and impersonal nature of e-mails, then start or recommence a trend of correspondence with your friends. When everyone knows how lovely it is to receive post that isn't a bill, a flyer or a tax document, then why don't people write to eachother anymore?! And don't say it's because they don't have time!?
They also specialize in tailor-printed wedding stationery. You can browse through the portfolio of completed stationery and samples in the shop to give you ideas about how your own should look. In terms of print processes, Wraptures offer Flat printing, Heat-raised thermography, Foiling, Embossing & debossing and Engraving. They also host workshops on specialist paper crafts like calligraphy, origami and papier mache.
