Most of the jewellery on sale is “Estate Jewellery” and comes from many continental countries including France, Spain, Portugal and Sweden.

Some of the pieces currently in stock are very romantic including a superb Antique Diamond heart shaped ring that is over 200 years old. There's also a very pretty antique French ruby and diamond heart shaped pendant which dates back to the early 1900's. 

Courtville Antiques is celebrating it's 40th year as a successful antique jewellers. Grainne Pierse is the owner of Courtville Antiques and the business originally began in 1964 by Grainne's mother in Tipperary. Over the years, mother and daughter attended the Antiques Fair in Dublin and have managed to build up a customer base that includes even the grandchildren of original customers.

Grainne's passion for antique jewellery is because “of the history and romance behind each piece of jewellery. The attention to detail and workmanship of antique jewellery is quite ornate,” says Grainne. At the moment Grainne has a pair of rare natural baroque pearl earrings that are at least a hundred years old.

This is a busy time for Courtville Antiques as many couples got engaged at Christmas time and are currently looking for engagement rings.

A popular choice is an unusual platinum set of Art Deco diamond engagement rings. Beautiful accessories are also available for the bride including a magnificent antique diamond and natural pearl tiara sold in its original case that was retailed by Carrington & Co in London around 1880.
