Dalkey
Archbold's Castle along with Goat's Castle (the new Heritage Centre), standing along the narrow main street, are all that remain of Dalkey's seven medieval castles.

These fortified towers were built to store cargoes when the original Colliemore Harbour below Dalkey was the principal medieval deep-water port of Dublin. Dalkey, served by DART, is now a fashionable residential area and boasts several fine restaurants and scenic and interesting walks between the village and Dún Laoghaire on the one hand and Killiney on the other.
