The Berkeley Library was designed by Paul Koralek and opened in 1967.
Philosopher and historian, Bishop George Berkeley (1685 - 1753) was both a student and a teacher at Trinity. Berkeley Campus of the University of California is named after him.
On the podium in front of the Library is a bronze sculpture Sfera con Sfera (Sphere with Sphere) by Amaldo Pomodoro (1983).
