Wellington Testamonial
The foundation stone of the Wellington Monument Testimonial, was laid in 1817.

The Wellington monument was designed by Robert Smirke, two years after the Dublin-born Duke of Wellington crushed Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo.At 205 feet (62.5 m) it is the second highest obelisk in the world being exceeded only by the Washington Memorial.
