Phoenix Park
The largest Urban Park in Ireland, if not, indeed, in Europe, is the Phoenix Park and offers almost unlimited scenic walks.

The famous herd of fallow deer in the Phoenix Park number around 500 today. Their ancestors were first introduced to the park in 1662. They are highly social animals and will be seen in large groups mainly, but not exclusively, around the Fifteen Acres.

They are cared for by park rangers in conjunction with the Department of Zoology, University College, Dublin.
