Sheridans Cheese Shop

Once you get over the initially overpowering whiff in Sheridans cheese
shop on South Anne St., there's a veritable smorgasbord, yes that
word, of cheesey treats to choose from.
There are cheddars from Somerset, Goudas from Cork and Holland, washed rind cheeses from West Cork, Goat cheeses from Clare and France, rows of Stilton and wheels of Parmesan. In the back of the shop, there's plenty of smoked meat, cured ham and salamis along with olives, organic pasta, homemade jam and honey.
Blarney Stone Cheddar made from Cow's milk from county Cork no less would cost Joe Consumer €23 per kg. Durrus made from raw cow's (or at least their milk) is €21 per kg. Gorgonzola Cremoso in all its green–streaked magnificence would cost you €23 per kg.
Sheridans is run by Galwegian brothers Seamus and Kevin who have a shop there and the Dublin branch was set up to cater for the demand they experienced at their stall at the Temple Bar Food Market every Saturday.
