This is a terrific gourmet shop on Castle St. with all kinds of speciality
breads, tarts and cake.
There's Onion & Bacon bread, Tomato & Fennel bread, Black Olive bread, Rye French bread, all for about €2.60 a loaf. There's black chocolate tarts, fruit danishes, croissants, blinis all for about €2. If that doesn't make you feel peckish, here's some more: Apple Rhubarb Crumble, Brioche, banana bread. There's also quite an extensive wine list.
Upstairs in the Salon, breakfast is served from 9-11.45, Lunch from 12 until 4 and afternoon tea from 4 to 5.30, so they're going in some capacity all day. Lunch Specials the day Dublinks visited were 'Parma Ham, Aubergine & Parmesan salad' for €9.50. Barbeque Smoked Salmon salad & sauce vierge was the same price, while Duck Confit with puys lentilles & apricot sauce was €15.
