This is a busy, comfortable cafe with a terrific location and nice staff...
Busyfeet & Coco Café is housed in a very distinctive green building on the corner of South William St. and Chatham St. It's cosy with thick dark-wood tables placed closely together, while it has enough windowage to keep the worst exhibitionist happy. As this is one of Dublin's busiest corners for pedestrians strolling by, there's more than enough of the world to watch as it goes by.
As for the food, there's a vegetarian, organic save-the-world vibe going on, but plenty of meat on the menu, so it's charmingly schizophrenic. The Busyfeet Open Sandwich is roasted courgette with lemon rind, roasted red peppers on a bed of homemade hummus served on poppyseed rolls. (€6.16) Or nestling beside it is the Classic BLT and yes that be stands for BACON! (€5.71) With the uneven prices and IR£ equivalents, the menu obviously dates back before the Euro changeover and we're told it's due to change again soon. So maybe Miss Piggy will indeed fly (out the window).
Breakfast is served from Monday-Friday at 7.30am until 12 midday. On Saturday, it's 9am till 12.30 and on Sunday, it goes from 10 until 12. You can get a full brekkie of scrambled/poached eggs, two bacon, two sausages, toast and tea/coffee for €5.71. A croissant with bacon & cheese will cost you €3.36. There are various organic or herbal teas. Their danishes are freshly-baked daily and are delicious, not to mention a daily selection of cakes. All tea & coffee is from Fairtrade producers.
Opening Times: Mon-Wed/Fri: 7.30am-8.pm Thurs: 7.30am-9pm Sat: 8am-8pm Sun: 10am-8pm
