The Clarendon is now one of Dublin's most modern pubs.
The Clarendon has been refurbished and transformed into an ultra-trendy and stylish Dublin pub. A large glass frontage draws attention to the exquisitely designed interior. This two level pub holds approximately 60 people and is fitted with comfortable and classy snugs throughout the bar. Stainless steel bars complement the brown and cream colour scheme and charming wicker chairs and beige stools enhance the stylish surroundings. There are candles and interesting chandeliers placed throughout the pub adding to the atmosphere.
Manager of the Clarendon, Shane Kilbane describes the Clarendon as " a multi-focus pub, serving restaurant food and restaurant service in a pub environment". The All-Day Menu on offer is certainly impressive. This Dublin pub is meticulous about using fresh and the top quality produce. Some of the suppliers include Gold Riverfarm Artisan foods and Shellfish de la Mere. Similar to restaurant menus, the Clarendon serves Starters, Mains and Desserts. The menu provides a selection of contemporary Irish cuisine fitting to a pub atmosphere but served with the quality and high standards of any Dublin restaurant.
Starters include a selection of salads and a Risotto of Crab and Asparagus with Squid (€6.95). Main course dishes are varied serving an appetising 8oz Sirloin Steak with Bernaise Sauce and Fries (€14.95), Cod and Chips (€9.95) and a Grilled Calves Liver dish (€12.50). Desserts include a classic Lemon Tart with raspberry compote 5.95) and a selection of ice creams. For a light lunch, customers can order from a selection of freshly made sandwiches and toasted sandwiches.
Food is served from 12-8pm Monday -Saturday and a fantastic Brunch Menu is available every Sunday from 12-6pm. Brunch Menu on Sundays offers a small selection of starters. A large breakfast with a choice of eggs and Clarendon Eggs Benedict are two excellent choices available. There's also Cod and Chips, Penne Pasta and taste 8oz Sirloin Steak. Fresh Fruit Smoothies are on offer and delicious Brunch desserts such as pain au chocolat and fresh fruit salad will finish off any brunch nicely.
An impressive wine list offering Old and New World wines in addition to supplying Fine White and Red Wines is available. There's also a choice of sparkling wine and Champagne on offer and many drinks are available by the glass.
