Journey Through Italy with top Dublin restaurant!
Enjoy a real gastronomic indulgence at the Talavera restaurant in Radisson SAS St Helen's Hotel on the Stillorgan Road!

Talavera's Journey Through Italy can only be described as culinary bliss! Running on the last Thursday of every month, Journey Through Italy offers food fanatics and novices alike an authentic Italian dining experience. Award-winning chef Giancarlo Anselmi creates a menu typical of the cuisine from one of the 21 Italian regions each month.

On arriving at the five star Radisson Hotel, I was immediately taken by the stunning surroundings of the Radisson's formal gardens. The Talavera restaurant was the second pleasant surprise with a very friendly and smiling manager, Primiano Sese welcoming guests. After the warm welcoming, my dining partner and I settled into a night of gastronomic indulgence.

The celebrated region was Sicily and our Gastro journey began with a typical Sicilian starter of tasty riceballs. Following on, I enjoyed a traditional Sicilian pasta dish comprising of softly baked penne pasta tossed beautifully with eggplant and olives. The third course was a real treat of succulent pan fried tuna with mouthwatering juices oozing from this perfectly cooked piece of fish. Dessert was an interesting and famous Sicilian confection, an appetising Cannoli filled with ricotta.

Talavera's Journey Through Italy menu is excellent value. To compliment this sensational meal, two wines were carefully chosen. This Gastro journey makes for a memorable dining experience and the set menu is just €49!

Talavera is an elegant open-planned restaurant that branches into four sections so diners can experience a sense of intimacy in a rather large restaurant. The main dining area boasts the largest Anti-Pasti buffet available in the country.

A Dublin restaurant definitely worth a visit, Talavera's Journey Through Italy offers food lovers the opportunity to learn a little about Italy while enjoying the choicest of meals at very reasonable price . Worth Every Penne!
