The mission of La Peniche is to provide a relaxed, high quality, and charming dining out experience in the fashion of the European restaurant river-boats of Paris and Amsterdam. And, as the 2007 winners of the Georgina Campbell's Ireland Best Atmospheric Restaurant award, it's safe to assume they've achieved their aim!

La Peniche is Dublin's only floating restaurant - providing a totally unique experience on board the passenger ship MV RIASC on the Dublin's Grand Canal. Open for lunch (Tuesday - Friday) and dinner (Tuesday - Saturday), La Peniche offers Authentic French/Italian Bistro cuisine, with simple but hearty, reasonably priced dishes using as many organic products and ingredients as possible. La Peniche's very special feature is its Dining Cruises, allowing diners to take a trip down the canal as they enjoy their meals. These cruises operate on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with cast-off at 20:00. Guests should be there at least fifteen minutes beforehand (canapés are served on the deck from 18:00, so you've no excuse to be late - go early and soak up the atmosphere)! The usual Al A Carte menu is served, although there's a Cruise Charge of €10 on top of the meal. The barge returns to the jetty at 10:30, but the bar continues to serve until midnight so why not stay and enjoy the experience a little longer?

Private cruises can also be arranged.

CLOSED: Mondays, Public Holidays, and the Tuesday after a Bank Holiday. (Opening at these times can be arranged for exclusive bookings.)
