The latest release by Spiddal based musician Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin, Gugalai Gug features twenty-nine songs bristling with weird and wonderful characters and scenarios that will fire your imaginations.

 

There is a story about a nervous hen who frets about where she should build her nest and the tale of a family of little frogs who learn who to swim under the watchful eyes of Mammy and Daddy frog.

 

Performing the songs are three generations of the Conamara community, including the oldest and youngest members of Ros na Rún, Tom Sailí Ó Flaitheartha and Iain Ó Nuanáin.   

 

A pioneer of contemporary songwriting in the Irish language, Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin's songs for children and adults are now studied at all levels of the Irish educational system.

 

The books is designed by award-winning animation company, Cartoon Saloon with vivid illustrations which almost jump off the page bringing the rhymes and songs to life.
