Kids can enjoy Sunday Talks at the National Gallery of Ireland in
Dublin.
Every Sunday at the National Gallery of Ireland, Children's talks run from 12.30pm-1.00pm. Kids in Dublin between the ages of 8-12 years can learn all about a specific painting from one of the impressive collections exhibited at the National Gallery. This Sunday will involve a thrity minute talk for kids with Donal Maguire on the famous painting by renowned Irish artist Jack B. Yeats called “The Liffey Swim”. Jack B Yeats is the brother of famous Irish poet W.B.Yeats and is regarded as one of Ireland's greatest visual artists.
Education Officer of the National Gallery of Ireland, Liz Marshall will present the kiddies talk on the 29th August. Kids can learn all about French artist Thomas Couture's famous painting “Le Peinture Réaliste”. This is an excellent opportunity for kids in Dublin to see some of the finest paintings on display in the National Gallery of Ireland and to learn some interesting facts about art. It is advisable to arrive early as places are limited for Children's Sunday talks. These entertaining and highly informative talks will continue weekly until September 26th.
