Each room, whether standard or deluxe, has its own distinctive décor. Some rooms are finished in the original Celtic Deco style commissioned by Tim Buckley in the 1920s.

Food is an integral part of Arbutus hospitality, whether it's a quick bite or a full dinner. Buckley's Bar menu offers a casual, but wholesome meal, or you can experience hospitality, Norrie Buckley style. Her home cooking is well known among guests and locals, with her rice pudding and her chicken paté being particular favourites. Norrie's cooking blends traditional Irish and international recipes, made with the freshest of local, seasonal produce. If you have any special dietary needs, or indeed any special dishes you would like to try, don't hesitate to ask. In the dining room and restaurant you will find the blending of traditional Irish and international recipes using the best local ingredients. Norrie and her team have received an AA rosette each year for the last 8 years.

Travel information

By Car: - The Arbutus is located on College Street at the junction of Lewis Road, just off Main Street, a 5 minute stroll from the train and bus station and only a mile from the Killarney National Park. Parking facilities are not available at the hotel. However, there is a Pay-to-Park area nearby.
