Dundrum Town Centre is delighted to announce the introduction of a new series of parent-focused activity taking place at the centre.
Dundrum Town Centre, voted Ireland’s Most Family-Friendly Shopping Centre 2008, is delighted to announce the introduction of a new series of parent-focused activity taking place at the centre. Wednesday, 18th February 2009 will see the beginning of a series of New Mums’ Survival Coffee Mornings. These fortnightly coffee mornings for new mums will involve the discussion of topics such as such as sleep, weaning, teething, baby play, and other new mums’ survival tips and tricks, in a relaxed and open atmosphere.

The sessions, which will be facilitated by leading experts in parenting Clap Handies, will take the format of open discussions, where participants are encouraged to share their experiences and ask advice of the other mums and experts on hand. The forums will take place every second Wednesday at 11.00am in Frangos World Cuisine, located on Level 3 of Dundrum Town Centre. The forums will last for 90 minutes, and attendees will be accommodated on a first-come first-served basis.

Further activity to be introduced to the centre for parents and carers includes the new Baby Chill Zone from Clap Handies, which will take place the last Saturday of every month. The Baby Chill Zone, which is especially for babies from “zero to crawling”, will provide a resource for both you and your baby to take a break from the buggy and stretch your legs, with sensory equipment, activities and fully-trained staff from Clap Handies to ensure an interactive and engaging session for you and your baby. Baby Chill Zones commenced on 7th February 2009 on Level 3, adjacent to House of Fraser, and will take place on the last Saturday of each month going forward; the next Baby Chill Zone will take place on Saturday, 28th February followed by a session on Saturday, 28th March and Saturday 25th April.

Both the New Mums Group, and Baby Chill Zone serve to further assist in enhancing the existing child and parent friendly facilities available at the Centre. Voted Most Family-Friendly Shopping Centre for the last three consecutive years at the Maternity & Infant Awards, and with the recently-opened Hamleys, the worlds finest toy store, and regular children’s entertainment on the mall, Dundrum Town Centre is the perfect place to keep all the family entertained.

To further the dedicated kid’s retail offering, Dundrum Town Centre is delighted to announce that H&M Kids will open a standalone store on Thursday, 26th March on Level 3, next to Mamas & Papas. H&M Kids will specialise in clothes and accessories for babies and children up to 14 years of age, and is sure to be a ‘must stop’ shop for parents and kids in search of the latest in child fashion.

Commenting on the activity, Don Nugent, Centre Director at Dundrum Town Centre said: “We’re delighted to announce details of the new activity taking place in the Centre, and glad to offer parents and carers a helping hand in making their experience at the centre as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Both the New Mums’ Survival Coffee Mornings and Baby Chill Zones offer a unique experience to shoppers with babies and small children, and further add to our family-friendly facilities at the centre. In 2008, we saw our high standards honoured with the accolade of Most Family-Friendly Shopping Centre for the third consecutive year, something that is testament to the team at Dundrum, as well as our family-friendly retail and leisure offering.”
