After their recent triumphant run in The Helix, director John Donnelly brings DCU's lauded production of RENT to The Olympia Theatre.
Director John Donnelly will be bringing DCU's production of RENT to The Olympia from the 15th to the 20th of June.

DCU Drama's production of RENT at The Helix sold-out and received universal acclaim from critics and fans alike. Reviewers raved about the professionalism of the show, comparing its quality to that seen on Broadway or the West End.

DCU Drama will be reprising RENT at The Olympia Theatre in what is a first for an Irish University Society and a major coup for DCU's brightest young stars. Director John Donnelly is returning to the helm of the talented cast for the six performance run, which will open on Monday 15th June at 8pm and run until Saturday 20th.

Based on Puccini's 'La Boheme', Jonathan Larson's Rock Opera, 'Rent' tells the story of one year in the life of friends living the Bohemian life in modern day East Village, New York City, 1989-1990.

Rent was originally produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S. Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop.

Presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Limited on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York. Book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson.
